Tasmania's Rotterdam and Provence~
51 Views

Australia is truly a magical country with amazing soil - almost any plant can grow and thrive here. I thought tulips and lavender could only be seen in the Netherlands and Provence, but surprisingly you can catch a glimpse of these beautiful flowers in Tasmania too. I feel so fortunate! Part 1: Tulip Fields. Tasmania's tulips bloom around October. The fields are located in the northern town of Wynyard. The entire journey follows the coastline, with the sea like an inverted jade beside the road. While driving, before seeing the horizon, you first encounter the endless coastline - breathtakingly beautiful.

First, here's a photo of canola flowers at the entrance, haha

The purple-black ones in the middle are called Black Beauty. Unfortunately, I visited towards the end of the tulip season, and some varieties had already been harvested. Thankfully, every variety was still available in the greenhouse. Now for the main attraction... everyone, hold your breath... it's just too beautiful!

The lighthouse and ocean in the distance create a perfect backdrop for these gorgeous flowers.

There's a famous photo of Dutch tulip fields with a bicycle in front - I've always loved that peaceful yet colorful image. Here, we have the same beautiful fields, but with a tractor instead of a bicycle, haha!

While Tasmania's tulip fields may not be as vast as those in the Netherlands, they're still colorfully spectacular. The lighthouse and ocean backdrop adds a unique charm. Next up are some ocean views we encountered on the way to the tulip fields...

Part 2: Lavender Fields. Tasmania's lavender fields are located in northern Launceston, blooming in December with peak flowering in early January. Unfortunately, we went a bit early, and some hadn't grown too tall yet. However, they were still thriving. Compared to the tulip fields, they're less vibrant but more serene, and more expansive - stretching as far as the eye can see. First, let me introduce our little group - this was sort of our graduation trip. We're so lucky to have each other. This is the holiday village where we stayed - such lovely houses!

In the tulip gift shop, this purple bear is stuffed with dried tulips. The most interesting part is how it's used - you microwave it for three minutes to release the fragrance. How cute! Now it's time for more ocean views. Every time we go out, we unexpectedly discover beautiful, hidden beaches. While Australia has no shortage of beautiful oceans, I think Tasmania's seas are the most beautiful.

Reeds swaying in the wind along the shore - truly beautiful

A lighthouse is never lonely, because you are the coast~

Such enchanting skies~ The next few photos represent: ordinary youth, artistic youth, and silly youth, hehe

Well, let's end with a beautiful story~

This charming little shop is called Katty's Berry Shop, located near Swansea. Their ice cream is famously delicious. Years ago, Katty fell in love with the peaceful life here, facing the sea where spring brings warmth and flowers. She ultimately decided to stay with her husband, and together they built their house from scratch using the most basic wooden materials. They created an orchard at their doorstep, specifically for growing various berries, which they use to make jams and ice cream. They've lived happily here ever since, and their cozy berry shop has gradually become well-known. It's hard to believe that everything here, including the furniture, was handmade by Katty and her husband. Beyond amazement, I'm touched by their dedication and unwavering belief. In the last photo, the friendly blonde woman with the warm smile is Katty, the owner of this lovely place.
