Art Gallery of NSW

A free art gallery that's quite large, with many works that look like famous paintings. Though I'm not very knowledgeable about art, I still found it very beautiful.

You can quietly find a bench to sit and look at the art. Even though you might not understand it or know how good the paintings are, at least you can say you've been cultured.

The Art Gallery of New South Wales is the largest in New South Wales, filled with collections from Australia, Europe, and Asia, and occasionally features works by famous artists. It's divided into new and old wings, each with its own unique style. The exhibits are regularly rotated, and there's a large collection of Aboriginal art.

A very magnificent art gallery, but it's best to go with someone who can guide you - there are many foreign artworks that are hard to understand on your own. When I went, a beautiful art student named Lisa from Sydney University took me around, and I learned a lot~

They had a Roman art exhibition when we visited. They change themes roughly every two weeks, which makes it very interesting. Lisa said that during Chinese art exhibitions, it gets absolutely packed - seems Chinese culture is still very appealing~

Houses many outstanding art treasures from the Southern Hemisphere - recommended for travelers interested in arts and culture, you shouldn't miss it.

Art Gallery of NSW impressions - While not particularly tall from the outside, the beautifully carved exterior structure and ornate stone columns surrounding the building leave a deep impression. The main entrance is on the fourth floor, with three underground levels. The most notable works include Whistler's "Nocturne in Grey," and pieces by Impressionist masters Picasso, Monet, and Toulouse-Lautrec. It also houses Australia's richest collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artworks.

The Art Gallery of New South Wales regularly hosts various art exhibitions - art lovers should definitely check out these shows.

The gallery has an extensive collection of artworks and is really enjoyable to explore. I wish I could have spent the entire afternoon here.

The Art Gallery of New South Wales is located next to St. Mary's Cathedral and close to Sydney Tower. Since attractions are concentrated in this area, visitors can plan to see them all together. I discovered this gallery after leaving St. Mary's Cathedral. The gallery has a rich collection, including works by Dali, and the building itself is distinctive - a legacy from when Australia was a British colony. As this is the state gallery of New South Wales, admission is free to visitors.

Upon entering, you first see some sculptures. The gallery has three floors, but due to time constraints, I only explored one floor where I appreciated some contemporary Sydney art, mostly oil paintings. After leaving the gallery, you can easily visit Sydney Tower as it's not far away.

Although we came to Australia mainly for its natural scenery, when I was doing research beforehand, I discovered this place not only houses works by famous artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Cézanne, but also Australian artwork from various periods. It was truly worth the visit! I even got to see paintings by Xu Beihong - it gave me such an unexpected feeling of familiarity.

PS: Art enthusiasts absolutely shouldn't miss this. I checked the official website before going, which was very detailed, but my husband preferred the "lazy" approach - he downloaded a pocket guide app. We could listen to introductions while viewing the artworks, very convenient. The content matched the official descriptions but was more accessible while remaining professional. Especially for Picasso's paintings... I finally felt like I could understand them! I must recommend this amazing tool to everyone! Oh, and it even has self-driving routes - it's so convenient and useful, I can't put it down. I've practically become its biggest fan.

There are quite a lot of good things hidden inside. Even though I'm not very artistic, it was still very rewarding to look around. The afternoon passed quickly without realizing it - definitely worth visiting.

Following the signs in the Royal Botanic Gardens, I walked to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. To be honest, I have zero interest in art - I only visit art galleries and museums for two reasons: either they're free or they're included in my city pass. But with such hot weather, finding a place with air conditioning to cool down and take a break isn't bad!

The Art Gallery of New South Wales is not far from Hyde Park. The gallery is artistically arranged and you can see original works by Picasso, Van Gogh, and Monet, as well as artworks from various schools around the world - abstract, figurative, creative, and traditional. Walking through it, even if you can't understand the stories behind all the artworks, you can still be moved by their artistic charm. Some pieces will touch your soul - that's when you have a spiritual dialogue across time and space with the masters. PS: You can download the Pocket Guide APP - some famous works have audio guides. Though not comprehensive, it's better than nothing.

The gallery has a great collection of beautiful paintings and artworks, with a wonderful atmosphere. I went with a rather burly friend, and was worried that this finance major rough guy wouldn't have the patience to browse like an art student like me. However, I had overlooked the fact that he's a devout Christian, and later found out that many religious paintings only made sense to me after his explanations...

The art gallery is quite large, so you'll need to set aside extra time. It's near Hyde Park - even if you're not an art enthusiast, it's worth a casual visit while you're in the area.

I hadn't planned to visit this art gallery - we just happened to see it on our way to the Sydney Opera House. My friend really wanted to go, so we spent some time exploring it. It's very spacious inside, and what's great is that admission is free and they offer free bag storage. The Chinese exhibition area is particularly worth checking out!

It exhibits many oil paintings, some of which should be quite famous. Recommended.
