Sydney Tower Eye

From the outside, Sydney Tower looks pretty unremarkable and grey - definitely not as impressive as Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower... They show you a 4D movie before you head up. The view from the top is actually not bad - you get a good panorama of Sydney. We visited around 6 PM while there was still daylight. I guess it's just one of those tourist must-dos, like visiting observation towers in any major city.

It's worth a visit - the panoramic view of Sydney from the highest point is truly beautiful.

The tower sits above a huge shopping center, and finding the entrance on level 5 is quite a challenge. You'll probably need to ask for directions multiple times, and still might get lost - particularly during lunch or dinner rush. Sadly, I picked a windy day to visit and couldn't go up to the observation deck... talk about bad luck!

You can walk to Sydney Tower from Wild Life Sydney Zoo. I recommend buying tickets online as they're much cheaper than at the counter. However, try to book the Tower tickets well in advance... there's an extra step where you must have a printed paper ticket. You can ask the staff at the attraction to help print it - they're super nice! From the tower, you can see all of Sydney from above. I bet it looks beautiful at night~

Located above a shopping mall - just take the elevator up. It's similar to other observation towers like Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower. You can get a panoramic view of Sydney from up here, and the scenery is truly beautiful.

The revolving buffet restaurant at Sydney Tower offers a perfect dining experience with stunning views.
They serve unique sausages made from crocodile and kangaroo meat, plus a wide selection including steaks, seafood, vegetarian options, and Asian, Thai, and Italian dishes.

While the landscape is absolutely breathtaking, the dining options are rather ordinary. I'd recommend coming for the views but perhaps planning your meals elsewhere.

As a photographer, the opportunity to capture Sydney's panoramic views was incredibly appealing to me. I'm from Zhengzhou, where we have the Zhongyuan Futa Tower, which is quite similar to Sydney Tower in terms of height and setup.

I arrived at Sydney Tower around 5 PM specifically to photograph the sunset. Fortunately, I was blessed with clear weather that day, which allowed me to capture some excellent shots.

Pro tip for photography enthusiasts: I strongly recommend bringing a tripod to achieve high-quality images. While smartphone photos are possible, they might not capture the same level of detail and quality. I've shared some of my photos in the comments section for reference.

I only saw Sydney Tower while passing through the area - it wasn't a planned destination on my itinerary.

Standing at Sydney's highest point, this observation deck provides breathtaking panoramic views. On days with good visibility, you can see for nearly 20 kilometers in all directions.

You'll find this viewing platform at the very top of Westfield Shopping Mall. It's all about the views up here, and with Australia's pristine air quality, you can expect excellent visibility in all directions.

I think it's better to go during the daytime than at night. During the daytime, you can have a bird's-eye view of the urban area and the seaside. There isn't much to see when you go at night. All you can see are just the dots of city lights.  

The Sydney Tower is located right in the city center, above the Westfield Shopping Centre. The top of the tower consists of three parts. At a height of 250 meters, there is a 360-degree observation deck with a glass exterior wall. At 260 meters high, there is the Sydney Tower Skywalk, where tourists who have made reservations can take an aerial stroll. In addition, there is also a revolving sky cafeteria, where you can enjoy your meal while waiting for the sunset.  

Compared with the Canton Tower in Guangzhou and the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, the Sydney Tower is somewhat less impressive... Only the Sapporo TV Tower can be compared with it.  

The Sydney Tower, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge are collectively known as the three landmark buildings in Sydney.
