Travel Guides and Stories
Australia. Sydney.
In 2009, utterly obsessed with plants and gardening, I brought back 8GB of landscape photos from Sydney—almost no people in sight. The gardens and yards I passed by were like a living handbook, giving me a fresh perspective on home gardening on the other side of the world. The issues back home aren’t just about pork or garlic prices going up, or some index rising by a few points. The sky in Sydney is so blue. So clean. There’s so much space and so few people. It’s just incredibly relaxing.
Villas like this—who wouldn’t want to live here? Seeing all these flowers and greenery instantly lifts your mood.
After peeking into people’s gardens, let’s talk about the itinerary. Day 0: Xi’an–Shanghai; Day 1: Shanghai–Sydney. Opera House, Darling Harbour. Day 3: Blue Mountains National Park, Olympic Park, Bondi Beach. Day 4: Koala Park, Aquarium. Day 5: Home—everyone goes back to their own.
I truly love European-style architecture.
The ocean is my favorite—places like the Gold Coast.
Lord Jesus. Bless us.
Sydney Opera House—a true landmark.
