The University of Sydney is most famous for its Harry Potter-like main building. Fortunately, we were lucky to find it right after entering, saving us time. The magical Western architecture, with its church-like spires complemented by Jacaranda trees, is striking from afar. Following the path, we saw the trees in full bloom, their massive clusters making the campus feel even more serene against the architectural backdrop.
The main building forms a huge quadrangle, with classical interiors featuring spiral staircases and stained glass windows - truly magical, no wonder it's called the real-life Hogwarts.
We seemed to arrive during graduation season, seeing many students taking photos with bouquets. Studying at such a beautiful school must be incredible. Exiting through the east gate, we discovered it was actually the main entrance, with a huge clock in the center making the building look majestic. Taking photos on the lawn with the building backdrop felt distinctly foreign and romantic.
The long, empty corridors reminded me of scenes from "Secret" (不能说的秘密), as if a parallel universe might appear around any corner. The uneven stone pathways added to the campus's antiquity, perfectly complementing the magical atmosphere.
On the lawn in front of the main building, small groups of students sat chatting and reading. The morning sunlight was gentle rather than harsh. Sunlight filtering through book pages gave off a scent like freshly sun-dried bedding. Closing your eyes, you'd see orange-red, and your thoughts would float away like feathers into the sky.
The Jacaranda trees in front of the teaching building perfectly complement the architecture, adding beauty like enchanting fairy maidens.
Deeper inside, there's a small lane lined with Jacarandas on one side. Though still beautiful, perhaps because we'd seen so many by then, they didn't excite us quite like our first sighting. Still, the quiet path, warm sunlight, perfectly blooming flowers, and gentle breeze created an intoxicatingly beautiful scene~
