St. Mary's Cathedral, the seat of Sydney's Archbishop, is known as the Mother Church of Australian Catholicism.
Construction began in 1821, but the cathedral under construction was destroyed by fire in 1865. The rebuilding process took over 60 years, finally completing in 1928. Between 1998 and 2000, the spires were added to the cathedral.
The interior windows feature vibrant stained glass, with each window depicting a different biblical story. Every time you enter the cathedral, you find yourself unconsciously softening your footsteps, and your mind instantly becomes peaceful and tranquil.
