· St Mary's Cathedral is famous for its high-standard music and choir, internationally recognized as one of the world's finest, regularly performing on tour.
· Visitor guidelines: No mobile phones, no hats, photography allowed but without flash.

This is Australia's largest and oldest cathedral, as well as the seat of Sydney's Archbishop. With its soaring dome and spectacular stained glass windows, it rivals many famous European cathedrals in grandeur. Unfortunately, a service was in progress during our visit, so photography and free movement weren't allowed - we could only take a brief look before leaving.
