There's a beautiful park in front of the cathedral, with Sydney Tower visible overhead. Built in 1821 using local sandstone, the cathedral maintains a strong Gothic architectural style and is Australia's largest and oldest religious building.

In the cathedral's crypt, there's an intricate Moroccan priest floor mosaic depicting scenes from Genesis, created with colorful stone fragments showing remarkable craftsmanship. I believe there's a separate admission fee to view it. Despite the bustle outside, the interior maintains a quiet, solemn atmosphere. Many people were praying silently, and we also sat down for a moment of quiet reflection.
