SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
- SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
· One of the world's largest aquariums, located near Darling Harbour and partially built underwater, has been open for nearly 30 years.
· Built alongside the harbor, it draws water directly from the port, providing marine life with an environment almost identical to their natural habitat.
· The aquarium not only showcases Australia's marine ecosystems but also collaborates with research institutions like the University of Sydney for marine ecological studies.
· The most thrilling experience is walking through the transparent tunnel, watching dugongs, moray eels, and sharks glide overhead.
· Watching sea lions play underwater creates a genuine underwater world experience with high-fidelity views of marine life up close.

We bought combined tickets online for both the aquarium and Sydney Tower - together they cost about 165 RMB, which should be cheaper than buying separately. I didn't compare prices, but it was convenient to skip the queues and just scan QR codes to enter. You can buy tickets online on the same day, so I'd recommend planning your itinerary and purchasing tickets online in advance.
The aquarium has many unique creatures I'd never seen before, though it's quite small with winding pathways. It seems to be connected with the zoo and other attractions, but since we planned to visit the Melbourne zoo, we skipped those parts. They advertised having dugongs, but we didn't see any - quite frustrating! We did see many interesting and unusual creatures though, haha, including penguins. However, the aquarium lighting is extremely dim, making it hard to take clear photos. Apart from these two issues, everything else was fine. Remember to enter before 5 PM, as they stop admitting visitors after that.
