SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
- SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
· One of the world's largest aquariums, located near Darling Harbour and partially built underwater, has been open for nearly 30 years.
· Built alongside the harbor, it draws water directly from the port, providing marine life with an environment almost identical to their natural habitat.
· The aquarium not only showcases Australia's marine ecosystems but also collaborates with research institutions like the University of Sydney for marine ecological studies.
· The most thrilling experience is walking through the transparent tunnel, watching dugongs, moray eels, and sharks glide overhead.
· Watching sea lions play underwater creates a genuine underwater world experience with high-fidelity views of marine life up close.

The Sydney Aquarium is located at Darling Harbour. We bought tickets because of an online flash sale - just 171 RMB total for two adults and one child, which was over 100 RMB cheaper than regular online prices. (For reference, on-site tickets cost 44 AUD for adults and 31 AUD for children. Through the aquarium's official website, weekday tickets are 35 AUD for adults and weekend tickets are 40 AUD, with proportional discounts for children. Third-party platforms offer much better deals. The same applies to Melbourne Aquarium.)
Having visited Melbourne Aquarium on my previous Australia trip, I can say Melbourne is definitely superior (larger space, slightly cheaper tickets, fewer crowds, more exhibits, more activities, and free 4D movies). Perhaps because it was a Saturday, Sydney Aquarium was extremely crowded. Most of the time, we could only move with the flow of people, making it nearly impossible to stop and observe anything in detail. The penguin exhibit was somewhat unique, featuring a brief two-minute boat ride. While Sydney Aquarium does offer scheduled animal presentations and feeding sessions, they're much less frequent than Melbourne's. We completed our Sydney Aquarium visit in just 1.5 hours, whereas six months ago, we spent 4 hours at Melbourne Aquarium.
