· An ideal place to unwind, featuring expansive views, peaceful atmosphere, large lawns, and numerous benches. The Government House, located within the Gardens, is open for public visits.

Planned to go early for New Year's celebration, but found an incredibly long queue... Waited in line for over an hour before finally getting into the Botanic Gardens, then waited there from around 11 AM until midnight... Endured both scorching sun and heavy rain... Could only see the fireworks from far away, partially blocked by trees... Honestly, I didn't think it was worth spending an entire day there - couldn't see the sights I wanted to see, got sunburned, soaked in rain, and frozen. Felt a bit disappointing... But I suppose it's an experience. Watching the optimistic foreigners singing and dancing in the heavy rain - they didn't seem to care whether they saw the complete fireworks show or got wet - they were just celebrating the arrival of the new year...

In conclusion, watching Sydney's New Year fireworks is like a ritual. If you want to experience it, I still recommend the Royal Botanic Gardens. Those with more budget can book seats in advance at spots with better views. For the wealthy, you can book a boat viewing experience, though I heard it's extremely expensive...
