· Originally Australia's first farm, the Gardens are adjacent to the Sydney Opera House and CBD, separated from the Opera House only by a narrow bay. This prime location makes it a must-visit destination.
· Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, located at the northern end of the Gardens, offers the best vantage point for viewing the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge - a spot featured in many postcards.
· An ideal place to unwind, featuring expansive views, peaceful atmosphere, large lawns, and numerous benches. The Government House, located within the Gardens, is open for public visits.

Located right next to the Opera House, since I was with my daughter who didn't want to join the Opera House tour, we went to this park instead. There's a small train at the park entrance - we took her on it, though it only went halfway around because the train makes several stops midway. To see more of the park's scenery, we got off partway through and walked out of the park. Along the way, we passed Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and saw some stage setup in the park - looked like they were preparing for some kind of commercial performance.
