We continued towards the Sydney Opera House. We were quite tired and didn't want to walk anymore, but after a coffee, we felt completely revitalized. Up close, the Opera House is truly beautiful with its unique design concept. The kid and the old man started jumping around again - the young and old having fun together. You can book Chinese-language guided tours inside the Opera House, and there's also a bridge climb experience for the Harbour Bridge, but we weren't interested in either.
The Sydney Opera House, located in the northern part of Sydney's CBD, is the city's landmark building. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, it features a shell-shaped roof covering a waterfront complex combining theaters and halls. The interior architecture is inspired by Mayan culture and Aztec temples. Construction began in March 1959 and was officially completed on October 20, 1973, taking 14 years to complete.
The Sydney Opera House is Australia's landmark building and one of the most distinctive architectural works of the 20th century. In 2007, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
