Perhaps I'd seen too many photos and promotional videos online, so being there in person didn't feel as overwhelming as expected. The atmosphere was permeated with a leisurely rhythm that made everyone feel lazy. Even taking photos didn't spark much enthusiasm - lying in the sun felt more appealing.
With my eyes closed, you ask what I'm thinking about? The Phantom of the Opera. Forgive my lack of architectural appreciation cells, but after enough lounging around, I walked a complete circle around the Opera House and had just one impression: it really does look like shells, with its white checkered glazed tiles glistening in the sunlight like they're coated with ultra-clear nail polish. This Opera House, which took 14 years to build and is considered one of the 20th century's most outstanding architectural achievements, combined with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background - well, it's quite unique, I'll give it that.
