Manly Beach

It wasn't originally in our itinerary, but due to my parents' request to take a boat tour of Sydney, we just hopped on the nearest available ferry. Only upon arrival did we realize it was the ferry to Manly Beach, where many office workers come for one or two-night getaways after work. Unlike famous tourist spots like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, this beach isn't crowded with tourists. Instead, you see people sunbathing, swimming, taking leisurely walks, or chatting with friends over drinks in small pubs - everyone here is just enjoying life.

Right off the ferry, there's a market-like area selling snacks and small items, with many restaurants, dessert shops, and pubs along the shore. We chose the first dessert shop we saw after disembarking, called "Max Brenner: chocolate by the bald man." Both their signature hot chocolate and chocolate mousse cake were amazingly delicious. The chocolate flavor was incredibly authentic - honestly the best hot chocolate I've ever had. I'm sure their chocolates must be equally delicious. Highly recommended! Next time I'm in Sydney, I'll definitely set aside enough time to properly explore Manly Beach.
