Visiting in late winter/early spring, we chose Manly Beach, just a 25-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay. There were many surfers there. We found a spot facing the sun and ocean, spent the afternoon watching the surfers - it put us in such a wonderful mood. On our return in the evening, we saw the Opera House from across the water again - truly beautiful.
