Hyde Park

Just across the street from the cathedral is Hyde Park. We sat for a while on the wood chips under the trees in the park, taking in the century-old towering trees, gentle slopes, and the Archibald Fountain. Almost every town in Australia seems to have a park called Hyde Park.

I can't help but marvel at how clean Australia's environment is. This small park is particularly well-maintained, with unfamiliar large birds occasionally walking by - the kind you'd normally expect to see only in zoos - coming right up to us begging for food.

Under the gentle sunlight and mild breeze, we enjoyed our late breakfast in the sunshine, surrounded by greenery and these large birds. While Hyde Park is essentially just a city park, I love Australia's vast lawns and tall trees. Maybe it's because the tree species are different from those back home, or perhaps it's the different mix of people in the scenery, but everything about this city feels relaxed, even here in bustling Sydney.

Next to St. Mary's Cathedral is Hyde Park, with Sydney Tower beside it. The park is a place where people come to relax. You'll see locals jogging and practicing yoga there.

Across from St. Mary's Cathedral lies Hyde Park, a city green space shaded by trees and covered in lush grass. Research shows it's Australia's oldest public park.

Hyde Park has many large trees, so they've posted specific warnings advising people not to walk through the park during stormy weather to avoid being hit by falling branches.

The park isn't very large, but you'll see many locals sitting on the lawn enjoying the wonderful sunshine. Various birds naturally walk past you, and there's also a statue commemorating Captain Cook.

Named after London's Hyde Park, it's a lovely and peaceful place, perfect for couples to spend romantic time together.

A light rain was falling from the sky when we arrived at Hyde Park, where towering trees stood majestically.

With a history spanning nearly 200 years, Hyde Park is home to numerous century-old trees, immaculate lawns, and large birds that wander in groups across the grounds.

Hyde Park, located on the eastern side of Sydney's CBD (Central Business District), was established in 1810 and has over 200 years of history. With its vast pristine lawns and century-old towering trees, it's an excellent spot for relaxation.

At the park's center stands a uniquely designed fountain. It features a collection of bronze sculptures, with a young man holding a lyre positioned at the elevated center, backed by fan-shaped water sprays. Several bronze sculptures also grace the pool below.

Hyde Park has a roughly rectangular shape, with a square southern end and a circular northern end. It is bordered by:

• Elizabeth Street to the west

• College Street to the east

• St. James Road and Prince Albert Road to the north

• Liverpool Street to the south

There are many British-style buildings, but they lack the authentic British charm.
