LOL~Free trip to the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles!

The weather in Australia changes even faster than a woman’s mood. One moment it’s cloudy, the next it’s raining, and then suddenly there’s blazing sun. Even crazier, it can be raining in one spot and sunny just a few steps away! There are surprises at every turn. We met at the station at 9:30am, and once everyone was on board, we hit the road. People always say road trips are the best way to travel, and today was basically a self-drive trip for our whole group. All the sights are free, and everywhere you look is picture-perfect. If you join a tour, it’s about $130, but someone once recommended a good website to me if you want to check. Since this was an event organized by our school, everything was free for us—so no tour group this time.

We passed endless fields of canola flowers—absolutely stunning.

I forgot the name of this stop, but we took a short break here, about an hour. It was lovely—enjoying the sea breeze, looking at the ocean, and playing on my favorite swing.

It was cloudy when we arrived, but now the sun is shining down on us. So happy!

We didn’t dare sit on the grass—it had just rained earlier.

Group selfie time!

Facing the sea, with spring in full bloom.

I especially love seeing people jogging with their dogs by the ocean—it just feels right.

The sand here is so fine and soft—really comfortable.

They took off their shoes and had a blast—I really regret not wearing loafers instead of UGG boots, which made me too lazy to play.

Look at these two going wild—having the time of their lives!

That’s some seriously big writing in the sand!

A little blurry, but still a memory.

The waves washed right up—what a cool feeling.

We wanted to keep taking photos, but as soon as we started, the weather changed from sunny to rainy and we sprinted back to the car! Haha!

Her dog got so scared by our Carrie that it ran off—so funny!

Next stop: the Great Ocean Road!

Group photo time!

I’d heard so much about this place—so glad to finally see it for myself.

Nancy looks great in this shot.

Kate, our group leader, is just awesome.

Bobby looks hilarious in this pic—total farmer vibes!

After parking and walking down, the view was breathtaking.

So glad it didn’t rain!

The ocean here along the Great Ocean Road is just stunning.

There are tons of seagulls and parrots around—they’ll eat anything: fries, bread, chips. So interesting!

Feed them, and off they go.

But in no time, a whole flock appears!

They’re so pretty and smart. This place is really something special.

Look how beautiful they are—living the good life!

These women in muscle suits were hilarious—dancing with the kids, cracking everyone up! There are tons of food options along this street, plus lots of shopping: clothes, jewelry, swimwear, and all kinds of surf gear. I didn’t check the prices, but the food looked great—no wonder the place is packed.

The Twelve Apostles

After two hours, we finally reached the Twelve Apostles. I heard there are only seven left now.

The wind here is insane—I was honestly afraid I’d get blown over!

This shot was actually taken by a handsome guy who offered to help us out—so rare! Super nice guy.

The Twelve Apostles

The guy on the left is someone I really admired—too bad he’s only 18!

The Twelve Apostles

This view is exactly why you come here. We had to rush back, and with the crazy wind, it wasn’t the best day for a helicopter ride over the Apostles. Next time, I’ll definitely try it—everyone says you’ll regret it if you don’t! It’s about AUD 75 per person, maybe up to 95 if it’s more expensive. Since this wasn’t a solo trip, there’s not much I can recommend, but I’ll share a useful website: ***0-all. Hope everyone who visits has a fantastic trip—and hopefully perfect weather! Honestly, the company you keep and the weather make all the difference. Keep it simple and have fun!
