A Must-Do on the Great Ocean Road—Aerial Photography of the Twelve Apostles
The Twelve Apostles are the most spectacular scenery along Australia’s Great Ocean Road—there’s nothing else like it. I’ve been captivated by its dramatic, ever-changing sunsets and have strongly recommended it to friends, calling it a sunset spot you must see once in your life. On my third trip to the Great Ocean Road, I couldn’t resist spending $90 to take a helicopter ride and capture aerial views of this vanishing natural wonder. The experience gave me an unparalleled surprise. After recommending the sunset, I now have another top pick: a helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles. (Tourism Australia should hire me as an ambassador, haha.) Enough talk—let the photos prove it!

The coastline of Tasmania feels much more gentle, like a graceful woman, while the Great Ocean Road’s shore is wild and bold, like a robust man.

Looking from above, doesn’t it resemble a seahorse?

Those small rock stacks are the famous Twelve Apostles. Because of erosion by the sea, only eight are left today—making it a vanishing world wonder.
The cool pilot skillfully flew the helicopter while giving us a guided tour of the sights, throwing in some sharp turns (but it was very smooth!). He must have learned from Zhou Botong—multitasking master!
This is the stylish red helicopter I took—cool, right?

The helicopter taking off—of course, I wasn’t inside yet at that moment. Haha!
