Five Days and Four Nights in Australia’s Gold Coast
116 Views

I’ve been in Australia for many years but had never been to the Gold Coast (GC) until now. During my April break, I finally went with friends! We arrived in GC in the morning, and as soon as we stepped out of the airport, it felt like a true holiday city—temperatures were quite high for April in Australia. We stayed at the Q1 Tower. There were nine of us, so we booked a huge apartment. We were really lucky to stay on the 53rd floor—super cool!

These photos were taken straight from our room—amazing! We were right by the beach. On the first day, since we were a bit tired, we didn’t go to the theme parks. We just hung out at the beach, which was super clean and relaxing!

We spent all our time playing in the sea, so we didn’t take many photos. But honestly, the beach is so comfortable. You can learn to surf, go diving, or ride jet skis—all of which you need to book in advance (can’t do same-day). Other activities like ocean fishing and crabbing also require advance booking. For dinner, we had Japanese food—there are lots of Japanese people in GC, so many Japanese restaurants, and they’re all pretty good.
On the second day, we went to Movie World—there were all kinds of movie characters: Batman (super cool!), and lots of Warner Bros–themed roller coasters and thrill rides. I’ve never been brave enough for those, but my friends loved them.

Nightlife is up to you—GC has plenty of clubs if you’re interested. We just bought drinks and hung out in the hotel at night.
On the third day, a group of friends went to Dreamworld, which is even scarier—all super intense rides like drop towers and massive roller coasters. I didn’t go… Instead, I and a few friends went to Sea World to see animals and such. Honestly, it was a bit boring—more suitable for parents with kids.

You can even go in and hug the penguins, but I think it costs extra…

On the fourth day, we went to Wet’n’Wild—a really fun water park!

Didn’t take many pictures—was too busy playing! We changed into swimsuits as soon as we got in.
On the fifth day, we went for Versace high tea. There are only two Versace hotels in the world, so we felt we had to try it… but we were super disappointed—the food wasn’t good at all.

And then we headed home! All in all, GC is a seaside city made for vacations. Here, you don’t have to think about anything—just relax and enjoy. Most hotels have their own pool and spa, and we swam in the hotel pool every night. GC also has a famous vampire-themed restaurant, but we didn’t go… If you ever get the chance to visit Australia, you absolutely MUST go to the Gold Coast—it’s really so much fun!!
