Everyone told me that when in Sydney, you must come buy the cheap and delicious seafood, especially lobster, salmon, king crab, and oysters.
In the market, customers mainly concentrate at Nicolas's and Peter's near the entrance - these two shops basically have a semi-monopoly as the largest vendors. You can buy seafood directly from them and have it cooked right next door. Of course, if your hotel has a kitchen, I recommend buying fresh seafood to cook yourself, as the processing fee isn't cheap.
If you enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of the wharf, you can dine directly at the Fish Market, but be careful of seagulls trying to steal your food!
