As everyone knows, Sydney Fish Market is the second-largest seafood market in the world after Japan, and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. However, I felt it has become quite commercialized and turned into more of a tourist attraction.

It's definitely worth visiting to see the variety of uncommon seafood like Australian lobsters and king crabs - great for expanding your knowledge. The selection is impressive and everything is fresh! However, the prices are similar to what you'd pay in China, which is surprising. Mussels, in particular, are notably more expensive than in New Zealand.

The processing fees are quite high, and the seafood prices in general are steep, especially in the Chinese restaurants. For reference: Australian lobster: around 190 AUD/kg、King crab: about 188 AUD/kg、Cheese-covered small lobster: 28 AUD each、Salt-baked small lobster: 28 AUD each、Grilled prawns: 20 AUD for 3-4 pieces、Small squid: 16.50 AUD per box、Salmon: around 20+ AUD per box、Sushi: 15 AUD for 2 pieces

For tourists, especially those from China, these prices seem artificially inflated. It feels like they're taking advantage of the market's popularity to charge premium prices.
