If you come to Sydney in summer, you might catch the annual Vivid Sydney light and music festival. During this time, the "Big Shell" becomes incredibly beautiful. The light show designers are all masters in their field, and the effects are said to be quite spectacular. The festival runs for about three weeks from late May to mid-June - exact dates can be found online.
Even without the light show, the "white big shell" standing over the water is still very beautiful.
