True Colors - Deep Australia Tour - Floriade Festival in Canberra, ACT
ACT is Australia's smallest state, primarily consisting of the capital Canberra. There isn't much to see in Canberra, and not many people choose to live there. Besides Parliament House, it mainly houses company headquarters, foreign consulates, the National University, and some nice restaurants. There are only two main streets, but the city boasts excellent greenery, abundant flowers, and cleanliness. The annual Floriade flower festival attracts many visitors. Canberra became the capital when Sydney and Melbourne couldn't settle their rivalry, so they created ACT in between the two cities. However, ACT is quite uneventful compared to Washington D.C., which, though also located outside major cities, offers much more to see. Here you can mainly view grasslands and livestock. Locals rarely visit Canberra for leisure since it's quite tiring - it's a 3-4 hour drive from Sydney. But this time we specifically came for the flower show... This was 3-4 years ago... Wow, my child was only waist-high then... Look at this family of black swans.
