Australia 2006 - Canberra (Colleague's D70 Version)
The bus journey from Sydney to Canberra took quite a while. As we entered the city, we could see the 124-meter high fountain emerging from Lake Burley Griffin in the distance. This city has memorable urban planning and modern architecture. Though there aren't many skyscrapers, its natural advantages as a "meeting place" make it well-suited as a political, economic, and cultural center.
The National Capital Exhibition showcases Canberra's development history through innovative interactive multimedia displays.
Just as everyone was boarding the bus, I spotted this captivating play of light and shadow on the lawn. I quickly jumped off to capture it in black and white. My colleague only got a partial shot. Of course, we were focusing on different aspects!
Parliament House. The building has a strong architectural presence, and I took several black and white photos capturing the fascinating interplay of light and shadow. Despite the democratic atmosphere, security screening is required for entry! Due to my earlier experience in Sydney, I opted not to enter such a space again. I only took photos from the outside. I'll have to rely on my colleagues' photos to see the interior details...
