Our Australia adventure started on November 3, 2022. When the 10-day trip ended, it left us with the most beautiful travel memories to date. Thank you to everyone who accompanied and cared for us along the way!
Day 5 — CAIRNS, Dreamy Islands
Cairns—charming coastline, jewel-like islands, silver beaches, intoxicating turquoise water—this is truly a tropical vacation paradise. (It’s said that every Lunar New Year, Cairns is filled with Chinese tour groups. If you want to fully enjoy the romance of the islands, it’s best to avoid this time!)
Itinerary: Green Island & Tableland
Green Island— the closest and most famous island to the port.
Setting out: Don’t worry about the weather, it changes quickly on the island; trust me, once you head out to sea it’s always clear skies:

Tableland—about an hour’s boat ride from Green Island, is a man-made floating platform in the middle of the sea, with even more beautiful water, more marine life, and even stronger tropical sun. Don’t spend too much time on Green Island, because Tableland is the true dreamy island you’re looking for.
Activities: Helicopter tours for unbeatable aerial sea views; underwater scooters (even non-swimmers can go 4 meters deep and get up close with sea creatures); submarine rides to see the real underwater world; snorkeling—more underwater beauty than Green Island; scuba diving—the ultimate choice for pros to explore the sea.
