From Sydney CBD to Blue Mountains Park, you can choose between guided tours, self-driving, or train.

Take the Blue Mountains line from Central Station - it takes about 2 hours to reach Katoomba. From the station, walk south along the main road for about 100 meters to The Carrington Hotel, then take bus 686 to the terminus, which is Scenic World.

"Scenic World" includes 4 attractions (3 rides and 1 rainforest):

  1. Scenic Skyway: 5-minute round trip, yellow-colored. Travels between mountains with a glass bottom - quite thrilling.

  2. Scenic Cableway: 8-minute round trip, 545 meters long, blue-colored. One of the ways to access the rainforest below.

  3. Scenic Railway: 7-minute round trip, 52-degree incline track, red-colored. Another way to access the rainforest below.

  4. Scenic Walkway: 2.4km long, green-colored, elevated boardwalk through the rainforest with coal mining heritage sites.

There's an all-inclusive ticket for these 4 attractions costing AUD 35 per person (much cheaper if bought online in advance), offering unlimited rides on the Skyway, Cableway, Railway, and access to the Walkway.

The Blue Mountains National Park is part of the Greater Blue Mountains Area, which contains 7 national parks. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000 and was called the "Second Wonder of the World" by Queen Elizabeth II, though personally I think it's not as impressive as mountains in China.
