Australian Museum

The Museum was hands-down my favorite place to visit! There are so many fascinating displays highlighting Australia's rich cultural heritage. I was particularly impressed by the butterfly collection and the dinosaur fossils - they were incredible!

We happened upon a dinosaur fossil exhibition and were excited to take a quick tour. Admission was AUD 24 per person (about RMB 140). Interestingly, the fossils were actually on loan from the Beijing Museum.

What's fascinating is that even though these exhibits feature Chinese artifacts, the presentation style here is much more engaging than what you typically see in China. They make excellent use of lighting and sound effects to create an immersive experience, giving visitors a more dynamic and three-dimensional understanding of the exhibition.

The museum offers free admission on Australia Day (January 26), which makes it an especially appealing time to visit. The skeleton gallery in particular is absolutely fascinating - it's truly remarkable!

Here, you can learn about the main animals in Australia and some of Australia's history. People who like visiting museums shouldn't miss it.

Don't think that museums are all filled with dull old things displayed behind glass. There are many things here that allow you to get hands-on and participate. In the bone exhibition area, there is a skeleton riding a bicycle, which will move according to your actions. It's quite interesting. 

In my opinion, the Australia Museum is actually more like a natural history museum. During the visit, students came in one after another to do some sketching. Who wouldn't like such a teaching method?

There is also an exhibition of animal skeletons, which is really informative. The Australian Museum is a place that focuses on nature and the original ecological history.
