This is a city of youth - perhaps due to our timing. It was right after Australia's college entrance exams, and all the kids were partying on the beach. Having reached the legal drinking age, there were tipsy youngsters everywhere! The Gold Coast didn't strike me as particularly beautiful, though the coastline was impressively long.
